Christmas Within The ActiveRain Family

Christmas Within The ActiveRain Family

Christmas is a time of year when families gather to enjoy each other's company, good food and lots of smiles.  There was a time when this was common within the family of ActiveRain when we gathered at Meet-ups.  Some attendees traveled quite a distance just to meet with people that they had become friends with through their blogs.

Back in December in 2013 we had some great times here in the frigid Northeast.  For one of the parties,  George Souto  hosted an event at the Paradise Hills Winery in Middletown CT.  At this gathering we had many members from Central CT as well as a well traveled friend from the North Pole.

Around the same time, Ginny Gorman also held a meet-up in East Greenwich, RI to celebrate the Holidays as well as allow Rainers to gather to meet Scott Hayes who was up from Texas to celebrate the season with his wife's family who live in Rhode Island.  This brought Rainers from CT, MA RI and also the North Pole.

For that period of time, while meet-ups were being held through the ActiveRain map none seemed to be as large as those held by us cold New Englanders.

Christmas is a great time to visit with family, and with this pandemic these gatherings are just a fond memory.
