Ed's Chesprocott Region Blog: National Coffee Day September 29

National Coffee Day September 29

Some may call it the nectar of the day others just call for it often and for some like me, it’s just the necessity of a start to a day. Whatever we feel today is a day to officially celebrate it: National Coffee Day

National Coffee Day

I don’t really care who started it, but I am in appreciation. I do like my coffee and it’s been documented that adults drink at least one cup of coffee a day. I don’t drink coffee past mid morning, but in that time I cover for at least 4 adults that don’t drink it al all.

In honor of National Coffee Day on Sept. 29, chains are offering deals to help you celebrate your java jolt.  Here is a list of deals and freebies in Central Connecticut to help you get your fix:

Dunkin’ Donuts: Free medium cup of Dunkin’ Donuts hot or iced dark roast coffee. The limit is one per guest, and is available at participating locations.

An entire day dedicated to coffee? Celebrate National Coffee Day on 9/29 with a FREE cup of Wawa Coffee!

Whole Foods Market: Since Sept. 9, the supermarkets have been offering  25-cent 12-ounce cups of coffee and coffee bars. The deal ends Sept. 30.

Cumberland Farms: Text FREECOFFEE to 33733 to get a coupon for a free hot or iced coffee of any size.

Now if only I can only find out when it’s National Pizza Day.

If I don't put a single mug cap on my consumption they'd have to make this a three day celebration Ed. Gotta love the coffee, I slide on black & iced these days!

The fine print "at participating locations."  My dunkin donuts charged me $2.13...oh well, I buy it every day anyway!

Ed, maybe I can use this day as an excuse to indulge in a pumpkin spice coffee.  I love them. I do drink my morning coffee at home ... brewed fresh in my kitchen. It kills me to pay so much for coffee ... plus my coffee at home is organic.

Ed,

There are lots of members who love coffee, ourselves included...I am not fond of chain coffee, at airports we opt for Peet's coffee...A

Hi, Ed. I'm glad you are covering for me. I was wondering who was doing that. I'm not a coffee drinker. I did have a large iced tea today, though. That was my caffeine for day.

Ed I also enjoy my coffee in the morning, but for me it is just one cup, however, it is a soup bowl size cup ...... LOL

Good morning Ed. For coffee lovers like Gail Petrowsky, she would be all over it, but for her, everyday is National Coffee day.

I celebrate coffee every day. In fact not a day goes by that I don't have good coffee. I order mine in from New Orleans and have been doing it for 15 years. I truly am serious about my coffee.

Hi Ed Silva , I had my coffee on National Coffee Day, but I should have had a special coffee to celebrate the holiday.

Ed, when it comes to coffee I have no doubt that I'm way above the national average for consumption. My first cup is at 5:30 am and my last cup is often 5-6-7:00 in the evening....for me it's a necessity kind of thing!

I believe I celebrated this both in the morning and the afternoon.  I love a great cup of coffee!
