Dennis F Antonacci Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner April 15 2016

Dennis F Antonacci, JR Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner

Friday April 15 is the night friends, family and acquaintances will gather for a bit of fun and a dinner to raise funds for the Dennis F Antonacci, Jr Memorial Scholarship. Dennis was the only son of my wife, Cauna Silva.

The first 2 scholarships were awarded last year, one each to a qualifying student from Wolcott High School, and Berlin High School. The criteria was for graduates who were going on to college to pursue a college degree in social work, counseling or psychology. Both of last years, had demonstrated a desire to become qualified social workers.

The event will again be held at the Cedars Hall of Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 1 East Mountain Rd, Waterbury CT. A full buffet dinner will be served as well as appetizers as attendees gather. Price for the dinner is $25.00.  Last year there were over 120 attendees along with online donations that allowed the fund to raise over $5,000 for this event alone.

There will also be raffle items donated by friends, family as well as local businesses. The raffle items consist of sports memorabilia, certificates for dinners at local restaurants; services from local retailers; gift baskets; wine baskets; Garden baskets; and many other fine items.

Complete information on the Memorial scholarship can be found at their web site: Dennisjrscholarship.org.Dennis F Antonacci Jr. Memorial Scholarship Fundraiser Dinner April 15 2016

We ask all that can attend to come and enjoy some time with us. If unable to attend, a donation to the scholarship fund can be made through PayPal on the website.

We are expecting a well attended event and have a great appreciation for those that have already contributed.

Ed I attended this event a couple of years ago, and it was a special time.  I have my 9 hour Continuing Ed Class (CT is strange we get one extra hour) on the 15th so not sure what time we will get through.  If I get out in enough time I will try to attend.
