Ed's Chesprocott Region Blog: The Colors Waving as I Pass on my Way Home

The Colors Waving as I Pass on my Way Home

We are into the eat of the summer with temperatures approaching 90+ , but as I make my way up my driveway, I have a flurry of colors as the lilies wave at me.

The driveway is long, but along one side is a garden filled with day lilies of all varieties, and it just seems that we have had just enough rain to bring out the colors as well as the differences.

And the last lily is just a transplant from a past present that was given to my wife and somehow managed to survive a few winters.

Ed the lillies along the side of my house are also in full bloom, and I have not even watered them.  These are very hardy flowers.

In the flower world, daylilies are among my favorites.  I have several growing in my yard!

Good morning Ed. It is unbearably hot in the Berkshires too and I have lilies along my driveway too. Nice pictures.

Good Morning Ed - nice job with your gardening.  Now more than ever we need to make sure they are watered enough.

My day lillies got so huge that I eventually uprooted them and gifted them to a local convent.  They were beautiful though.

Ed- seeing those colors as I drove home would certainly bring a smile to my face!  I wonder how often we take the flowers we see for granted.
