St Patrick's Day 2017

St Patrick's Day 2017

Every year Irish all over the world, and want to bes, celebrate with much enthusiasm the death of the patron saint of Ireland, who died on arch 17. He was rumored to have driven the snake out of Ireland, which would have not been conceivable as there were no snakes in Ireland.

As with all days of recognition, it has gotten to be highly commercialized and as I former very Irish brothers-in-law would say each year as they stayed away from their favorite drinking spots, 'A Day for the Amateurs, much like New Years Eve.

Regardless, with the day coming on a Friday, there will be lots of revelry and many an adult beverage consumed, some to excess and Saturday will have a very quiet start.

Anyway, for those that will go out to celebrate, here are a few Irish Toasts:

God invented whiskey so the Irish wouldn't rule the world!

I'll have what the man on the floor's having!

May we get what we want, May we get what we need, But may we never get what we deserve. -Cedric

Here's to the wine we love to drink, and the food we like to eat. Here's to our wives and sweethearts, let's pray they never meet. Here's champagne for our real friends And real pain for our sham friends. And when this life is over, may all of us find peace.

In all this world, why I do think There are five reasons why we drink: Good friends, good wine, lest we be dry and any other reason why.

I remember several years ago being in New Orleans at St. Patrick's Day. There were parades and celebrations galore. Those people love to party.

Maybe they were just all so drunk they thought they saw the snakes that were never there. Yesterday was a "lucky" day for me. After waiting 6 days ... six days after submitting an offer and countless emails, text messages and phone calls, my clients offer was finally accepted.  I definitely needed an adult beverage last night. It was not green
