Taste of Lebanon June 9 & 10 Waterbury CT

The 17th annual Taste of Lebanon Festival will be held this weekend, June 9 and 10 at Our Lady of Lebanon Church, 8 East Mountain Rd, Waterbury CT.

Taste authentic Lebanese cuisine at the Lebanese Food Festival on the church grounds.


Some of the delicacies being offered are:
grape leaves
taboolee  (parsley salad with tomato and onions)
hummous  ( chick pea appetizer)
kabobs  chicken and beef
shawarama, (Gyro) grilled beef served on a pita bread with tomato, onion, and tahine sauce
hot dogs and hamburgers
and of course those delicious Middle Eastern pastries.


The two-Day outdoor and indoor festival, in its 17th year, will have Lebanese food;
live Middle Eastern bands with singers
Entertainment by a group of traditional Lebanese Dancers
A showing of Lebanon's traditions and customs, as well as children and family activities, like face painting, dance lessons and board games.

There will also be a raffle for valuable prizes.


The festival hours;
Friday   5 pm to Midnight
Saturday, 12 Noon to 12 Midnight

Hi Ed, I was surprised how I like grape leaves the first time I tasted them. I would like to try some of the other delicacies.
